Brief Bio
Mafuiʻe is the Samoan deity of earthquakes and the original keeper of fire, dwelling in the underworld. Often depicted as a one-armed figure, he lost his fire to the demigod Tiʻitiʻi, who broke off one of his arms in a battle. He represents the natural forces of volcanoes and seismic activity.
