Brief Bio

Sif is a goddess associated with earth and harvest, often depicted with long, flowing golden hair. She is the wife of the powerful god Thor and mother of his daughter, Þrúðr (Thrud), and also mother of Ullr, whose father is unknown. Her golden hair is a prominent symbol, often linked to the fertility of the land and the golden hues of ripe wheat.

One of the most well-known stories involving Sif is Loki cutting off her golden hair as a prank. Thor, enraged, forces Loki to have the dwarves create a golden wig for her, which grows like real hair. This event highlights Sif's connection to her hair and the symbolic significance of the golden locks.
