Brief Bio

In Mayan mythology, Xbaquiyalo is a significant figure, particularly as the wife of Hun-Hunahpú and mother of the Monkey Twins, Hun Batz and Hun Chouén. She is also believed to be a descendant of one of the Lord of Xibalbás. Her name is thought to be derived from "X-bac-quic," meaning "Little and Gory Bone" or "Little and Gory Kernel," with "yaló" as a suffix.
