Brief Bio

In Japanese folklore, Kamikiri (or Kurokamikiri) is a yōkai, a supernatural creature, known for secretly cutting people's hair. These creatures are described as having scissor-like beaks and razor-sharp claws, allowing them to sneak up on victims, often while they are sleeping, and snip off their hair. Kamikiri are thought to have originated during the Edo period and appear in various records and folklore collections.
