Brief Bio
In Japanese mythology, the Azure Dragon is known as Seiryuu (青龍) and is one of the Four Symbols (Shijin) representing the cardinal direction of East, the spring season, and the wood element. It's a powerful dragon associated with rain, the sea, and storms. In Japan, Seiryuu is also a guardian spirit, particularly of the eastern part of Kyoto, and is often depicted as a blue-green dragon.
