Brief Bio

Edinburgh is Scotland's compact, hilly capital. It has a medieval Old Town and elegant Georgian New Town with gardens and neoclassical buildings. Looming over the city is Edinburgh Castle, home to Scotland’s crown jewels and the Stone of Destiny, used in the coronation of Scottish rulers. Arthur’s Seat is an imposing peak in Holyrood Park with sweeping views, and Calton Hill is topped with monuments and memorials.

Edinburgh is a famously haunted city known for locations like Edinburgh Castle, which features the ghost of a headless drummer boy and a piper who disappeared in the tunnels below. Other haunted sites include Mary King's Close, where a plague victim's ghost has been reported, and Greyfriars Kirkyard, the world's most haunted cemetery, home to the poltergeist of Sir George Mackenzie. The ancient Edinburgh Vaults under the South Bridge are also considered very haunted, with a history tied to crime and tragic events.
