Brief Bio
Anoka, Minnesota's history with Halloween began in 1920 when the community started an official celebration to divert youth from pranks and channel their energy into organized festivities. This annual event, which includes parades and other activities, grew over time and led to the city being officially recognized as the "Halloween Capital of the World" in 1937 after a proclamation was delivered to Congress by a 12-year-old named Harold Blair. Today, the city hosts a month-long celebration with a variety of events
