Meleager is a legendary hero in Greek mythology, famous for his role in the story of the Argonauts and the Calydonian Boar Hunt. He was the son of King Oeneus of Calydon and Queen Althaea. 

Known for his exceptional bravery and strength, Meleager played a crucial part in slaying the fierce Calydonian Boar, a monstrous creature sent to ravage the land. His fate was closely tied to a magical log, which determined his lifespan—when the log was burned, Meleager would die.
