Brief Bio

Hyperion is one of the twelve Titans, the primordial deities born from Gaia (Earth) and Uranus (Sky). Often regarded as the Titan of light, observation, and the heavenly illumination, Hyperion embodies the radiant, fiery aspect of the sun and the celestial light that illuminates the universe.

In Greek mythology, Hyperion is considered a personification of the sun's brightness and the cosmic sight. He is sometimes depicted as the source of the shining light that sustains the world, symbolizing clarity and enlightenment. Hyperion is also the father of important celestial beings: Helios (the Sun), Selene (the Moon), and Eos (the Dawn), making him a pivotal figure in the cosmic order. As is the case for most of the Titans, there are no myths or functions for Hyperion.

Though less prominent in mythological stories compared to later Olympian gods, Hyperion's role as an ancient titan of the sun underscores the importance of light and celestial phenomena in Greek cosmology. His name is often associated with the luminous aspect of the heavens and the divine source of illumination.
