*Even though the Cimmerians are only mentioned briefly in Greek Mythology they play a major role in the fictional character Conan the Barbian who is an extremely popular figure in modern sword and sorcery lore. Much of Cona iconic art was created by renowned fantasy artist Frank Frazetta. Frazetta was born and lived in Stroudsburg, PA. There is now a museum dedicated to his work in Stroudsburg.
