- Vampiric shape-shifters that change into a firefly to enter a house

Brief Bio

In West African mythology, particularly among the Ewe people of Ghana and Togo, the Adze is a vampiric, shapeshifting creature that takes the form of a firefly. During the day, it can appear human, but at night, it transforms and enters homes, often through cracks or keyholes, to suck the blood of sleeping individuals, causing illness and even death. The Adze is associated with witchcraft and is believed to possess individuals, particularly women, who are then seen as witches.
